ABOLITION: A human rights advocacy project

When we ache for those who suffer, we resonate with the heart of God. Jesus of Nazareth called himself a liberator and invited others into a conspiracy to bring freedom to those held captive by poverty and oppression. Currently an estimated 27 million people world wide are enslaved through forced labor and sex trafficking. You already care about this issue-- here is an opportunity to take action, in solidarity with others, to make a difference. In this activist intensive participants will:

• Make a commitment to slave free consumption.
• Provide outreach to local victims of human trafficking through S.A.G.E.
• Practice political advocacy for victims
• Create a personal network awareness and fundraising campaign
• Gain first hand knowledge of the local and global impact of human trafficking.
• Fast and pray for victims of slavery and their oppressors.
• Wrestle with what Jesus taught about love, justice and humility.

Share your experiences through stories, art and poetry

DATES: Tuesdays September 15- October 20th 7-9:30 P.M. (culminating in an Awareness & Fundraising Arts event Friday October 23rd 7-10 P.M.).

LOCATION: 357 Ellis Street. San Francisco (and sites in other neighborhoods where trafficking is suspected).

COST: $80-$140 sliding scale.  Covers facilitation, materials and final event hosting. (Partial scholarships available upon request-- contact info@reimagine.org).
